Here the model was actually lying down. As much as I love these poses (reclined nudes) in real life they just don't really motivate me much when it comes to drawing them "as is". I find I am often turning the paper a different way and melting the model onto the page in numerous curves to get more energy and motion from what is already a beautiful pose. Perhaps I'm just spoiled.....

This is a continuation of the "Children of the Soft Machine" series I started last year (2006). I still start out drawing large to loosen up and the get blood and magic flowing. Recently I've been finding myself drawing the figures on these smaller sheets of paper that I found. I like working with this natural colored paper. Currently it's making me happy.
